Okay, so this part is all about me. I should probably also mention that I inhaled a lot of paint fumes when I was a kid. This all makes more sense in light of that fact. real name: Ask and your wish shall be granted. I don't really dislike it, but I don't like it all that much either. If you're smart, you'll be able to figure it out anyway, but I'd rather just be called Azusa...
location: California, USA
occupation: Student, slacker, occasional surly customer-service representative astrological sign: Are you kidding? I don't believe in that kind of crap. ^^; (Ack, almost typed that as "carp"...) But just because it might be funny to see people try to figure my personality out from these, my sign on the Western horoscope is Gemini (with a Scorpio moon and Virgo ascendant) and my Chinese zodiac sign is the Ram. favorite foods: most kinds of pasta, french fries, yellowtail sashimi, ramen noodles, pita bread, hummus, baked potato chips, most kinds of chewy fruit-flavored candy foods I hate: mayonnaise, onions, mustard, celery, most kinds of breakfast foods, processed meats, most kinds of beans, hot peppers, anything with alcohol in it, Jello, citrus fruits, most kinds of curry, anything so spicy you can't taste it (note: this is only a partial list. there are a great many foods I refuse to eat.) favorite color: black (no, I am not a "goth") writing preferences: Sci-fi/light fantasy with supernatural overtones writing dislikes: Romance. ^_~ favorite video games: Xenogears (as if it weren't obvious...), FF4, FF6, FF9, Vagrant Story, Suikoden, Castlevania: SOTN, Secret of Mana, Super Metroid, Zelda 1, 2, and 3, Mega Man 2, 3, and X, Ninja Gaiden, an' some stuff I'm forgetting because I no longer have the games. ^^; (yes, I still play my old NES. I am duly shamed.)
favorite books: I will read just about anything, if I'm bored enough, although my tastes tend towards nonfiction these days. As far as individual books/works go, my favorites include the Annals of the Former World series by John McPhee (nonfiction), Discworld series by Terry Pratchett, Sophocles' Theban Plays... other authors whose work I enjoy/admire include Margaret Atwood, Caleb Carr, C.S. Friedman, Barbara Kingsolver, Emily Dickinson, and Stephen Jay Gould. I also read... well... mass-published junk. My vices in that department include Dean Koontz and Mercedes Lackey. Hey, it's better than romance novels. kinds of people I do not like: phony people, perfect people, racist/sexist/homophobic people, fanatics of any sort, anyone who is so dedicated to any belief that they refuse to acknowledge that theirs might not be the absolute truth, rude people, whiny irritable childish people who think they are being witty and sarcastic, politicians, most teenagers, professors who think getting tenure gives them the right to use their class as a mouthpiece for their social agenda, voluntary illiterates, anti-sex neo-Victorian prudes calling themselves feminists, Microsoft apologists, the people responsible for AOHell's tech support other stuff: um... I use smileys (like "^_^") a lot, and I'm especially fond of this one for some reason: ^^;; I am a cat person, and I now have my very own Stupid Cat Page. I like science in general and I'm majoring in geology, although I am a hopeless slacker when it comes to schoolwork (and writing for that matter). >.< there's quite a lot more to me than these little stats, though-- nothing that's really overly horrible; I just happen to be a very private person. I didn't think anyone really wanted to be bothered by excessive self-indulgent blabbing about my personal life, though. So if you want to know anything else, email me. accept no substitutions. ^_^ |
