Game-A-Minute

Are you tired of having to slag through 60+ hours of gameplay just to figure out what the heck is going on in an RPG? Do you long nostalgically for the days when the entire plot of a game could be summed up in a single sentence? Are you fed up with games that require several repeat plays just to give the player an idea of what the heck is going on? Wanted to finish Xenogears, but couldn't spare time out of your busy schedule to slag through the 30 hours of agonizingly slow text on disc 2?

Fear not, intrepid gamer! Game-A-Minute, blatantly ripped off inspired by Book-A-Minute and Movie-A-Minute, will save you untold hours of leveling, fetch quests, slow text, and irritating random battles by encapsulating all the important points of a game into a simple, bite-size, easy-to-read summary. After all, in today's busy world, who really wants to sit through 80 hours of play just to find out that The Heroes Kill The Bad Guy And Save The World? Game-A-Minute (tm) is quick, concise, and moderately more entertaining than playing "Bible Adventures!"

New games to be added as I write summaries. Guest contributions, even for games already summarized, are welcomed, encouraged, and well-nigh begged for.

Disclaimers: There are spoilers in these. They're summaries. Duh.

No offense or copyright infringement is intended to the writers of Book-A-Minute and Movie-A-Minute. I just liked the idea so much I decided to, uh, borrow it and do a game version.

No offense is intended to any of the games, either. Well, except Zero Wing, which I've never played but which probably deserves it. I actually enjoyed all these games, for the most part, but if you love something, you shouldn't be above being able to make fun of it.
