My Views on Anime and Dubbing

*ahem*

Now, the desire to watch TV shows and movies in one's native language is entirely understandable. However, by and large I would far rather watch subtitled anime than dubbed, because 90% of all English voice actors are horrible cut-rate slackers who sound like they're reciting a script for a children's cereal commercial. If there were many more DECENT English voice actors, I would gladly watch dubbed anime.

I mean, look at the dubbed version of Tenchi Muyo on Cartoon Network, which I recently had the dubious pleasure of getting to watch. Tenchi sounds like Kermit the Frog. KERMIT THE FROG!! All right, I understand that Tenchi is supposed to be an idiot, but I resent being reminded of the Muppets every time he opens his mouth.

I bet everyone expected that to be longer, hm... Well, I've got bigger pet peeves to poke at. Whether this is a good thing or not is entirely debatable.
